One of the ways to get informed is to read new things. Don't get it twisted, it might take time but it's good to do so because that is how to get value! So, ling as what you are consuming is not poorly written, doesn't tend to drive you into violence or having bad habits, continue.
In life, there is something called time. It happens to everybody. Though, we both have different times, we live. The good thing about life is that I have come to notice that no one jokes with his or her time. Why is it so?It is because time is needed for almost everything. You need time in order to grow academically, you need time to grow globally and you needed time to get to know peope in the offices, in the markets or in school. All things being equal, you need time to grow your investments by putting your resources where they should be!So long as you are getting value, do not back off.
Here is how to nurture your interest while reading:
1. Choose what you read
Don't just make yourself a dumping ground for rubbish. Choose what you read and sustain your interest as time goes. Choose your materials well!
2. Discuss with friends
Make it a point of duty to discuss what you have learnt with your friends. Though, they might disagree with you, you can learn new ideas from them!
3. Allow it flow naturally.
When you read, you find out that new ideas come into your mind, do not stop them. Allow them to help you form opinions about life, about reality and about money. The better the ideas you are getting are, the more developed you become and in so doing, you can dump outdated ideas. If you are in college, university or polytechnic this would help you a help you a lot and even if you are just a secondary school leaver, abide.
In one way or the other, one day, you shall find yourself looking back to say that you have tried.
