Top 8 Reasons Why You Should Shut Up
You may not understand why it is important to keep quiet in some situations until you go through this post. Some people would have been saved if not that they talked down on people who had the truth. That you're well placed in the society is not a reason why you should pollute everywhere with bad words. If what you are saying is meaningful, why not put it in a book and publish it? A lot of people inherited curses because of what their parents said to them especially mothers. When a child misbehaves and the father gets to find out, he flogs the child very well and then forgets the thing but mothers, they may not flog but keep cursing the child for doing wrong. That is not how to train a child. If what you're saying is not meaningful, please keep quit.
1. Purity of heart.
Most of the things we say come from the heart. If you always find yourself saying worthless things when you're with people or alone, just know that your hearted is polluted. It is in the heart [mind] that people describe all the evil things they would do to you or someone else before they carry them out or even bare their minds to another wicked person who would help them do them.
2. Noise
You don't add to the already noisy environment by saying what you don't know! Please keep quiet if you don't know what you are saying or ask question. In fact, the first thing you should do when you don't know what to say is to ask question. That is, if you find it difficult to close your mouth.
3. Peace
At times, you just have to keep quiet to make peace reign. Not that you are wrong or something but to just show that you're not interested in winning arguments that you gain nothing from especially when you are not a lawyer or judge!
4. Heated environment
Why heat up the polity when you can keep quiet and have a serene place? Be calm, not all arguments are won by shouting. When it's time to act, act.
5. Example
You can be a exemplary leader if you know when to speak up because there is time for everything. You don't need to prove a point by just arguing with everybody you see. Just say what you know, when the results come out, they would.
6. Conclusion
At times when you say what you shouldn't say, people would come to the conclusion that you are foolish. That is, foolish enough to have said what is not true just to cover your tracks. Retract from doing evil if you know that you cannot be able to say what you're doing to people. Open a physical office if need be so that people can stop suspecting and as much as possible, let your business be legit.
7. Inference
People can draw inferences by just listening to what you say! If you're empty, they would still know! Remember that inferences drawn from your speeches can determine whether you're emotional, empty or morally bankrupt. Whichever one, you can choose to say the truth and damn the consequences!
8. Judgement
On the judgement day, what you said will determine your fate. Even in the law court, the same things happen. Keep mute when your words are more likely to condemn you than not and seek the services of a qualified lawyer when you should. In all, keep your heart pure and founded on truth!
In one way or the other, one day, you shall find yourself looking back to say that you have tried.
