 When he heard the latest about Chioma, he gave up all hope and said, "If she could not talk to her own brother, is it now me that she would talk to?" After that incidence, he packed his things and left for the next village and never returned. From time to time, people from Umiduru go to Modili to fetch firewood but the people in Modili never bothered to do same since they had almost everything including a market and because they and the good people of Umiduru were one, they were never bothered about their presence. A soldier from Modili was also a warrior in Umiduru and a palm wine tapper from Umiduru was always welcomed at Modili. 


Following the announcements made by the town criers across the villages that the young men in both villages should gather for an important information emanating from the king's fortress, so many young men were seen trooping out in their numbers and Imiano was among them...
